FAQsDo I need a reservation?
No, just come visit any of our locations at anytime. Keep in mind that availability changes a lot, especially near the end of the month. It’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure something is available in the size you need.
What payment options do you offer?
You can set up Automatic Monthly Payments by Visa, MasterCard or your banking information. Otherwise, you can pay in person by cash, debit, Visa or MasterCard. Out of town? You can also make a one-time payment online by Visa, MasterCard or with your banking information.
Do you offer climate controlled units?
Maple Meadows and Richmond are climate controlled and have individual alarms on every unit.
What do I need to rent a unit? Do I need a Credit Card?
You will need valid identification and we don’t need a Credit Card, although it is preferred. You will be charged the first month’s rent, a $20 Admin Fee and you’ll need a lock (or you can buy one at the time of rental).
Will I be locked into a term?
No. There is only a one month minimum. After that, your rental continues on a month-to-month basis until you cancel.
Do I need to supply a lock?
Yes. You can bring your own lock or purchase one at the time of rental. The hasps on our units fit most standard padlocks. Some doors allow for a disc lock for added security (ask your storage consultant for details).
Do I need insurance?
Yes! We do recommend it as we are not responsible for your belongings while in storage. Your basic home policy should be reviewed, as it may provide some coverage for storage. Should you require additional insurance options, we cannot recommend a specific insurer, but a quick Google search for “storage insurance” and your city name will help you find what you need!
Can I have a courier deliver to my unit?
Yes! Many of our business customers choose to have their stock delivered directly to their storage unit. You’ll just need to leave a key on file with us.
Can I put up shelving in my unit?
You are welcome to use free-standing shelving as long as nothing is attached to the walls or ceiling. This can help you organize your space and make the best use of the height of your storage unit.
Can I downsize or upsize?
Definitely. Just let us know and we’ll transfer you to a new unit that fits your needs better (depending on availability). The dollar amount of any remaining rent will simply be transferred to your new unit.
How much notice do you need for a move-out?
We just need two days notice prior to the end of the current rental period.
